About the artist:
Helen Gunnersen Lovett
After leaving a career in engineering drafting, Helen turned to dressmaking, which she pursued enthusiastically until becoming disheartened by a lack of suitable fabrics. Helen then started making miniature teddy bears until a friend’s suggested botanical painting.
Helen spent many years studying with famed Botanical artist Jenny Phillips, and over time developed a stronger interest in sketching, especially during her travels. Helen took numerous classes as both student and teacher with her works being showcased in a local homewares store as canvases, placemats, and prints.
Helen now uses her sketches to print fabric to make into cushions and soft furnishings. In addition to her creative pursuits, Helen is an accomplished sailor, plays tennis and golf, alongside her roles as a wife, mother, and homemaker.
What we do:
Starting from sketches in a dedicated sketchbook, we select designs that resonate with you or align with specific themes, colours or subjects requested by clients. These sketches then come to life as printed fabrics transforming into beautifully crafted cushions and soft furnishings that merge artistry with functionality.
